The Brilliant Energy Institute (BEI) operates within Ontario Tech University’s Office of the Vice President, Research and Innovation. BEI builds upon the university’s energy research and expertise to meaningfully contribute to Canada’s growing energy demand, and to strengthen outcomes regionally, provincially and nationally. Our work supports decarbonization, sustainability and equitable access to cleaner, safe, abundant energy necessary for prosperity, quality of life, and climate resilience in communities across Canada and worldwide.
Founded in 2007, Next Hydrogen is a designer and manufacturer of water electrolysers that use water and electricity as inputs to generate clean hydrogen for use as a green energy source or a green industrial feedstock. Next Hydrogen’s unique cell design architecture supported by 40 patents enables high current density operations and superior dynamic response to efficiently convert intermittent renewable electricity into green hydrogen on an infrastructure scale.
Invest Durham is the economic development and tourism division for the Regional Municipality of Durham in Ontario, Canada. It promotes regional business growth, attracts global investment, and supports local tourism.
